Attending the mmc2021 Exhibition and Accessing Your Virtual Stand
All staff that wish to join mmc2021 as a visitor or stand representative are required to register in advance. All those registered will have been sent log in details and instructions to access the virtual platform directly through the email supplied on registration. If you have registered as a commercial stand representative you will be able to access the virtual exhibition, commercial workshops, eposter area and scientific imaging competition. If you have registered as a full Conference visitor you will be able to access these areas and all of the Conference sessions.
You will be able to access the virtual platform from 08.00 on Tuesday 6 July. You will need to visit the www.mmc-series.org.uk website and login using the email address and password that you used to register for the event. The login button can be found at the top right of the screen. Once you are logged in you will be able to access the virtual event and navigate around the conference and exhibition. All aspects of the conference and exhibition will be accessible once you have logged in and you will be able to access the workshops and meetings that you have registered for.
It is only the staff who have been verified to be main contacts on the stand that will have access to the ‘chat function’ from the virtual stand, which will be visible once logged in. All staff will be able to download the Conference App.

Virtual Stand Platform ‘Chat’ Functionality
Your verified stand representatives will appear on your virtual stand with headshots where you have provided them.They will be listed under the heading 'Meet your event contacts', as seen below. These will be your first points of contact for attendees that make contact via the 1:1 chat function. Platinum and Gold sponsors can include up to 4 verified contacts. Silver and Bronze can include up to 2.
Chat ‘in box’
Messages and message threads will be visible and accessible to all verified stand representatives when they log into the virtual platform.
Messages can be accessed by any of your verified stand representatives by clicking on the three dots in the top right of the chat in box, the number of messages is indicated numerically. Threads can be accessed by clicking on the company name or contact name.
It is not possible to download the live chat messages and threads, but they remain visible in the chat area during and post-event, at least until the end July 2021. The chat function itself will be disabled on the morning of Monday 11 July 2021. Any delegates or visitors re-visiting the virtual stands after Monday 11 July will be able to contact the Sponsor directly via the company contact information included on the virtual stand.
When an attendee first contacts one of your verified stand representatives, the only detail evident will be the registrant’s name. As at an in-person event the attendee will need to be asked and agree to pass on any further contact details, which you can then record and use as you wish.
Access to message centre
Although delegates can directly talk to you through your stand page, as an exhibitor, the easiest way to ensure you can respond to multiple conversations is to visit the message centre.
To access the message centre, first log into your account and click the envelope located next to logout button:
Once you accessed the message center, you can respond to all who have made an enquiry. The blue circle indicates the message is unread:
Due to consent under GDPR, an initial interaction is required from the attendee to the exhibitor. Please note, any chat conducted through the message centre will be visible by all contacts provided by the lead organiser for you stand.
‘Register Your Interest’ Function
We have also been able to include a ‘register your interest’ function on the virtual stands. Attendees have the opportunity to leave their contact details and area of interest for follow up by your stand staff. These contacts will be collated by a member of the RMS team each afternoon and a spreadsheet containing the details will be emailed to your stand contacts.
If you wish members of your staff, who do not have direct access to the virtual stand chat,,to engage directly with attendees, this can also be done through the Congress App. Please see below a link to download the App. Please note that you will need to use the same email that you registered your attendance at mmc2021 with.
